About Sweetwater Summer Day Camp
We were established in 1983 as a summer camp program sponsored by the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection and open to the community. Our programs are designed for children ranging in age from PreK (4 years old) to entering Sixth Grade.
Daily activities include art, music, science explorations, swimming, canoeing and P.E. All activities take place in our air-conditioned facility as well as on the grounds of our tree-shaded 10-acre campus right on Lake Brantley.
Our Staff
The SSDC staff is dedicated to ensuring the children are provided with a fun-filled, positive environment. All staff members are carefully screened including a required criminal background check. We have staff members who are CPR certified.
Camp Groups
Campers are divided by age and grade with a low ratio of campers to staff counselors. Under the guidance of their counselors, children form a cohesive unit and learn the value of friendship and teamwork. Action-packed fun is designed to give them a memorable summer and allow them to build friendships that will last a lifetime.
